Querim Beach — also called Keri or Kerim Beach — is about an 8–10 minute walk from Laxmi Happy Home. Enjoy a quieter sandy coastline, beach walks and ocean views. The hosts describe roughly 1.5 km of beach and access areas as recently improved, with two approaches worth exploring.

Head roughly 1 km towards the ferry and the meeting point of the Terekhol River and the ocean. A recently improved stone-paved approach leads towards the beach on this side.
Before the beach, rather than directly on the sand, there are around five or six seasonal shacks with ocean views. Depending on the season, you may find coconuts, drinks, beer, fish and light food. This is also a pleasant side for a coastal walk.
Find the ferry-side beach ↗The other approach to the main beach area is roughly 1 km by bike — a ride of a few minutes from Laxmi Happy Home.
In the main season, usually November to the end of April, around six seasonal restaurants offer food and lovely coastal views. Enjoy the sandy beach and a walk along the shore; restaurant openings and menus vary with the season.
Find Querim Beach ↗Cross the Terekhol River by ferry to visit Tiracol (Terekhol) Fort. The hosts estimate around 10–20 minutes to reach the fort, depending on how quickly you catch the ferry; the crossing itself takes around five minutes. Allow extra time for waiting.
The fort has an on-site restaurant, The Tavern, where you can pause for a meal with coastal views. The hosts recommend enjoying the fort’s views towards Querim Beach as part of this outing.
Find Tiracol Fort ↗Shri Ajoba Temple, also known as Dev Ajoba Temple, is near Querim Beach and the ferry crossing. Visit this local Hindu temple to see its decorative reliefs and experience a quieter part of village life.
Please dress respectfully and follow the temple’s local visiting rules. Ask Helena Laxmi or Manuel Dsouza for directions from Laxmi Happy Home.
Find Ajoba Temple ↗At the southern end of Querim Beach, rocky headland and small cave areas offer another side of the coast to explore. A coastal route continues towards Arambol, but parts can be uneven and challenging.
Arambol Sweet Water Lake is beside Kalacha Beach and can be reached on foot from Arambol. It is a separate destination beyond Querim’s headland, not a lake on Querim Beach. Ask the hosts about current paths and suitable routes, or arrange a taxi or bike to Arambol first.
Find Sweet Water Lake ↗Travel times, distances and restaurant numbers are approximate local estimates and vary with ferry waits, season and weather. Improved beach access does not guarantee safe swimming: follow warning flags and lifeguard advice, and avoid swimming at the river mouth. Hill and cave paths can be rocky or steep; ask about current access conditions before setting out.
